Bill Sawyer, Jeff McGarrah and I went to Pendleton today on the club ride. Pendleton would be misnomer since we went about everywhere but Pendleton! Down to Weston for late breadfast/early brunch. Headed for Gibbon (you all know where that is right?) and got tangled up on a couple of roads before getting it all sorted out. Finally found it though. Had about 12-15 miles of great roads right up to the gravel start at the Bar M ranch. U turn and to Pendleton, Echo and Lexington. South to Heppner and then cut off at Ruggs for Condon (this was to be a short day?!:)) Since it was now about 4PM, had to refill with hamburgers and shakes. Lots of Harleys on the road for a function of some kind. North to Arlington on some great sweepers (now I hate to say this but Bill's and Jeff's GS's outperformed my FJR in the curves. Hard to beat those GS's!) Stopped in Arlington for one final tank topping and then on home. Put about 392 miles on. Great day! The FJR averaged about 47 mpg for the day. Don't know how the other two came out. Join us the next time for some great riding!

Hi,
I have two 2001 R1100S side panniers, boxes. They cost lots, but I'll sell them for $200.

Several of us (Dave, John, Jeff, Dean, and Clyde) spent the weekend at the joint Wa/ Or club campout in on the Deschutes River in Oregon. The camping was great, rides better, and fellowship the best. GS or twisties were available for all to enjoy. We invited a fellow rider we met at lunch on Saturday to ride with us and join us at camp. He was a great addition to the group. Turned out he was also employed by OSP. Ten over (25-35 in the twisties) did not bother him as we put on 200 miles together in the Antelope/Fossil twisties area. Got great pictures and an awsome ride. Only minor problem was the KTM. Ran hot and did not have equal range to the GS's. PS: Don't mention this to Dave G. He might be sensitive.
